Parent Check, Inc. was established to assist adult children with the caring of their parents in their golden and retirement years. Our purpose is to assist with the communication between the children and the parents with regard to the parents' in-home needs, feelings of abandonment, loneliness due to aging and loss of friends, parents' mobility and inability to drive, etc.
Thousands of elderly persons are sitting home alone waiting for someone to stop by to say hello. They are waiting for someone to put a smile on their face. They are waiting to have a reason to get up in the morning. Are you a child or children of an aging parent that you are now responsible to take care of? Or, does your parent or parents live alone and you have to visit on a more regular continuous basis to make sure they are okay? Does you parent or parents reside with you? Are you plannng on having your parent or parents reside with you? Does your parent or parents reside in a skilled nursing facility? |

Open Enrollment for Medicare Part D |
|
Beginning Thursday, November 15 through December 31, 2008, eligible Medicare recipients will be able to enroll or select a new Medicare Health and Prescription Drug Plan. Even if you think you are satisfied with your current provider, you should still compare the plans to ensure you are receiving the best deal possible. There are alot of variables when signing up that you have to think about. Not just how much the premium costs each month, but you need to take an assessment of what prescriptions are currently being taken, how much they cost and then translate that information or compare it to all the plans that are being offered. Just because the price is low, doesn't mean it's a good deal, and just because the price is high, doesn't mean it's a good deal either. |

"The Sandwich Generation" |
|

What is "The Sandwich Generation?" It is a group of individuals who are not only taking care of their children, but they are taking care of their parents as well. This is a "must see" video. Not that they all aren't, but I found this one today on the internet and you should take the time to watch the story of Ed Kashi & Julie Winokur. |
